VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE LSA

Flu Clinic Volunteers

Organized by the LSA's Health Committee

• Each Thursday and Friday during October and November

• The clinics are held in the Community Health Services Building

• Volunteers staff the flu clinic registration desks for 3 or 4 hour shifts

• Volunteers receive an orientation session

• Volunteers choose shifts of 3 or 4 hours that best suit their schedule

Cardinal Newsletter

Organized by the LSA's Communication Committee

• Published three times a year (January, May and September)

• Volunteers can help in advance of the mailing of the Cardinal by:

•  putting labels on envelopes

• folding newsletters

• putting newsletters in envelopes

• Volunteers can attend a "folding and stuffing" session (this is a morning session held on the last Thursday of January, May and September)

Information Fair

• The Fair is held in May each year

• Planning for the Fair begins in the fall preceding the Fair

• Planning meetings are held approximately once a month

• Volunteers can help in the planning phase of the Fair

• Volunteers can assist the committee on the day(s) of the Fair
