“LIFE AFTER RETIREMENT”

Have you retired within the past three years? Are you planning to retire within the next year? We need
people from all walks of life who are recently retired or planning to retire soon. Why? You have
information that the Lambton Seniors Association really wants you to share with us. Health Canada has
given us a New Horizons Grant because they want that information, too. The workshop, which is free to
participants, will be held October 12th 2005 at the Sarnia Yacht Club from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided.
This is your chance to help mold government policies and influence services for everyone’s benefit in the
future. We want to listen to your concerns so that we can continue to develop solutions for them.

For you, this will certainly be an unequalled chance to learn from the experiences of others.

Will you and your friends join us at this important workshop?
Think you have nothing to contribute? Here are some of the concerns we might want to explore with you:

  • Did you “retire” gradually, or can you name the date?

  • Were you prepared financially for retirement?

  • Were you able to capitalize on hobbies or different interests and skills to soften the financial loss of
    leaving your usual employment?

  • Did you develop those interests as part of a retirement plan, or did they happen almost by accident?

  • Has your and/or your spouse’s health improved or deteriorated since your retirement?® What issues have come up that you hadn’t expected?

There is no end to the questions that can be asked. We know that you have more and that you have
answers to share with others. Help others with your experiences. Learn from others in return.
Please plan to attend this no-cost, limited enrolment workshop. Phone the Lambton Seniors Association
at 339-8866; (in the County) 1-888-970-1111 toll free; or email lseniors@ebtech.net.

Contact LSA today to ensure your registration. You’re not recently retired, but know someone who is?
PLEASE let them know of this workshop.
